Get started with your AI app

CortexHub lets your AI assistant use approved tools (Slack, email, CRM, and others) with rules your organisation sets. You connect each tool once in your account, then reuse it across your co-worker and your AI apps.

:::info Who this guide is for End users connecting Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or another MCP-capable app. If you are building an agent runtime or backend, see the MCP SDK instead. :::

Which organization are you in?

CortexHub is organised in organisations. Who configures tools and rules depends on your situation:

You are…Who sets up toolkits and access rules
In your company's organization (you were invited or joined your employer)An org admin: a colleague with admin access in CortexHub Cloud. You use what they allow.
In your own organization (you created CortexHub for yourself or a small team)You are the org owner. You configure toolkits, groups, and governance in CortexHub Cloud before or after you connect from your AI app.

The connect steps below are the same in both cases. Only who you ask for help changes.

What you need

You do not pre-register an agent. CortexHub creates a gateway identity for your app automatically the first time you sign in and allow access (see Connect step-by-step).

The short version

  1. In your AI app, add an MCP server with URL https://mcp.cortexhub.ai/v1/mcp.
  2. When prompted, sign in to CortexHub and Allow access for that app.
  3. In CortexHub Cloud, open My space -> Toolkits and connect the toolkits your organisation published to your groups (for example Slack or Gmail). You connect each toolkit once; it is reused across your co-worker and your AI apps.
  4. Return to your AI app and start chatting. The assistant uses CortexHub's discovery and invoke flow to find and run governed tools.

You do not need API keys, developer settings, or an OAuth client in your account for this path.
