Connect step-by-step
Use any MCP client that supports remote OAuth and Streamable HTTP. Examples:
1. Add the MCP server in your AI app
In your app's MCP or integrations settings, add a remote MCP server:
https://mcp.cortexhub.ai/v1/mcp
Include the full path (/v1/mcp). Some apps accept the host and discover the rest from there; if tools do not appear, use the full URL above.
The connection uses Streamable HTTP, which Claude.ai custom connectors and other modern MCP clients expect.
2. Sign in and allow access
When your app opens a browser window:
- Sign in to CortexHub with the email your organisation invited you with. If you do not have an account yet, ask your org admin for an invitation.
- Review the consent screen. It shows the app name (for example "Cursor" or "Claude Desktop") and your organisation.
- Select Allow access.
There is no separate step to pick an organization or agent on this screen. Approving creates or updates a gateway identity for that app in your active organisation.
:::tip One app, one identity Each MCP app registers as its own OAuth client. Claude Desktop and Claude.ai are separate identities in CortexHub Cloud because they connect as different apps. :::
3. Connect toolkits
Signing in gives your app access to the gateway. To use Slack, Gmail, Jira, or other integrations you can:
In chat (recommended for clients tagged Interactive above): ask the assistant to use an integration. If it is not connected yet, an interactive Connect card appears inline in the conversation. Select Connect to finish vendor OAuth in a popup, then the assistant continues automatically. Clients that have not adopted the MCP Apps extension instead receive a link to connect in CortexHub, and work the same way once you finish there; only the rendering differs.
In CortexHub Cloud:
- Open CortexHub Cloud.
- Open My space -> Toolkits.
- Connect the toolkits you need. Each connection is reused across your co-worker and your AI apps.
Your org admin must have published the toolkit to a group you belong to before it appears here. Adding a toolkit to the org inventory does not expose it until it is published to one of your groups. If a toolkit is missing, ask your org admin or see After you connect.
4. Start chatting
Return to your AI app. The assistant discovers tools through CortexHub's built-in search and invoke flow. You do not paste API keys or vendor tokens into chat.
Programmatic connect (developers)
If you are wiring a backend or agent framework instead of a desktop app, use the Python MCP SDK with an organisation gateway key, or a programmatic Member Credential created from My space -> Developer. The SDK credential uses client_credentials; it is separate from this browser OAuth flow.
