Admin quickstart
This path takes an organization admin from an empty organization to a first governed Org Agent in Slack.
1. Create the agent
Open Org space → Agents → Create Org Agent in CortexHub Cloud. Choose a hosted Org Agent, give it a clear name, and enable only the capabilities needed for the first workflow.
2. Give it one useful toolkit
Open Groups → Agent groups, select the agent group, and publish one toolkit. Start with a read-only workflow such as finding a project update or searching a knowledge base. Review the read, write, and destructive policy buckets before publishing.
3. Set the governance outcome
For the first workflow, permit the read action, require approval for a write, and deny destructive actions. Add a guardrail for sensitive values if the workflow handles customer or employee data.
4. Connect Slack once
In Settings → Integrations → Slack, connect the workspace and enable named bots. Then return to the Org Agent's Slack tab and select Add to Slack. Authorize the generated app and add it to a test channel.
5. Run a controlled test
Mention the bot with a read-only request. Then try one write request and confirm that it parks for approval. In the agent's activity view, verify the tool, policy decision, approval state, and receipt.
6. Expand carefully
Add more toolkits or channels only after the first result is correct. Keep the agent in a dedicated agent group so its access can evolve without changing member groups.
If the bot cannot see a toolkit, check the agent group entitlement first. If it can see the toolkit but the action is denied, inspect the matching policy and safety profile.
